Call for Volunteers!

 In General News

The commitment from volunteers is one of the unique characteristics of our event and one of the biggest compliments we receive from our athletes and visitors is how our community embraces our event.  This is an outcome of the wonderful support received of our volunteers. The Challenge Shepparton event would not possible without our comprehensive volunteer program.  A big thank you to all those who volunteered last year, your time, effort and contribution make race day exciting and safe for all participants and spectators.  Your contribution is paramount and creates a welcoming atmosphere to visitors.  Challenge Shepparton is a great way to raise valuable funds for your group, club or organisation.

As part of our partnership with the Shepparton Triathlon Club (STC), they assist with volunteer planning and recruitment.  This role has been performed by the STC for many years going back to when the triathlon event was held at the Kialla Lakes venue.  They have a great understanding of the event and endorse the value that volunteers bring to the event.  With their expertise we believe the volunteer coordination will be smooth and well communicated.

The event venue is the Victoria Park Lake precinct and the site will be transformed into a sports mecca over the full weekend which is exciting for volunteers, participants and spectators.

Once you have signed up as a volunteer, you will be kept up to date with regular event announcements, preparation details and once again we will provide a kit for each volunteer including a t-shirt, hat and a few other goodies including hydration and nutrition requirements.  A volunteer briefing will occur one week out from the event where group captains will receive final instructions.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Challenge Volunteer Family.
